Graduation Speech A College Student - 927 Words
On August 17, 2015, I was officially a college student, but what does this mean? Well, it means that I will be furthering my education in my desired field of study, I am an adult, and I have to start making decisions for myself, etc. As a freshman at Grace College, I am extremely excited to be taking that next step, and majoring in Journalism. Although I am content with the idea of being in college and adventuring off through my own path, I am also very nervous and unsure if I am ready to take on the responsibility of being ââ¬Å"on my ownâ⬠. Of course, I still receive a lot of support from my family, but not being able to see them every day and enjoy their presence will always be difficult for me to handle. Yet, I have goals that I am working extremely hard to fulfill throughout my life span. Attending Grace College has allowed be to take my first steps of accomplishing my goals. To define the word goal, in my own words, I would say that it is to have a conscience desire to further your ability in an area of your choice. It has to be something that you are willing to work hard and long for in order to be personally satisfied with the outcome of the situation. Throughout my life I have come across various different type of goals. The two most common goals are: short-term and long-term goals. As a student at Grace College I have tons of goals and aspirations that I am determined to achieve by the time I graduate-some even sooner.
